[2024/01/10 16:08] Sonja Bikergrrl: I do believe last time, we left on the cliffhanger of "Are you sure about that?" as you were about to attack the humans.
[2024/01/10 16:08] Sonja Bikergrrl: But before we get into that, todays' kitten: 
[2024/01/10 16:09] Sonja Bikergrrl: but, with that out of the way... what are you going to do?
[2024/01/10 16:11] Alicia Frakture: Skamos looks at the two."You know I do remember something about an arrangement."
[2024/01/10 16:11] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: It seems like we're not supposed to be attacking the humans, apparently we're on "good" terms with them
[2024/01/10 16:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: The guy close by you leans against a rock, groaning and clutching his chest. The other two pause and shout: "We have a truce, remember? We're coming for our man, we're taking him back."
[2024/01/10 16:14] Sonja Bikergrrl: The man just groans. "Uuuhhh... need a healer...!"
[2024/01/10 16:14] Alicia Frakture: Is there a healer there?
[2024/01/10 16:15] Sonja Bikergrrl: Who's asking, and who are you asking?
[2024/01/10 16:15] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Is he really your man? Seems like he's loose and fair game," Atilla suggests from the shadows, keeping hidden otherwise.
[2024/01/10 16:15] Alicia Frakture: Skamos is asking the humans
[2024/01/10 16:16] Sonja Bikergrrl: The tailing humans call out:"Of course he's ours, you can see he's a human! We got healers back at our base, we'll get him fixed right up."
[2024/01/10 16:17] Alicia Frakture: Skamos smiles."Oh good we'll come with."
[2024/01/10 16:18] Sonja Bikergrrl: A few muffled curses then "Alright!" The man near you just slumps against a rock, groaning.
[2024/01/10 16:20] Alicia Frakture: *Does Mend only work on clothes?*
[2024/01/10 16:20] Sonja Bikergrrl: (It works on lots of things, I think; nothing living or magical, as a rule of thumb)
[2024/01/10 16:21] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: ( Or at least, it cannot fix the magical part of an item )
[2024/01/10 16:22] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Atilla studies the tracks and equipment these guys are using, while asking. "What's his buy price?"
[2024/01/10 16:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: They're humans in leather, lightly armed and lightly armoured. Perception check, d20 roll under INT or WIS. The guys look a bit surprised. "Buy price? He ain't for sale! Now we better get him back, quickly." The come from the cave mouth and approach, ready to pick the groaning figure up
[2024/01/10 16:25] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Odd, but Atilla keeps quiet, ready to follow these guys back to their encampment. Perhaps this is a decent 'in'.
[2024/01/10 16:26] Sonja Bikergrrl: You notice that the two men have rather prominent, noticeable red copper tokens or pendants hanging from chains about their necks.
[2024/01/10 16:26] Alicia Frakture: *Isn't this mission to figure out why they havent paid their end of the bargain? *
[2024/01/10 16:27] Sonja Bikergrrl: The men look at you and Skamos, clearly not wholly comfortable with your presence, but they say nothing and scoop up the groaning man and start to drag him.
[2024/01/10 16:27] Sonja Bikergrrl: (reminder of the mission as given: "You may be aware that a band of surface dwellers have come down to us. They say they bring the means to destroy our enemies, but so far they've taken much gold and many slaves we could've traded. Go, patrol near them, see if you can find out what it is they have. And take that demon with you, you can both make yourselves useful.")
[2024/01/10 16:29] Alicia Frakture: Now careful. If he dies he's useless tome.. welll semi useless.
[2024/01/10 16:30] Sonja Bikergrrl: They aren't too gentle, they seem more concerned with speed than his comfort. And the man is literally just gurgling and limp now, groaning "...healer..." now and then.
[2024/01/10 16:31] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: The red pendants are interesting, possibly a badge of some deity or another. For now Atilla will use the return to camp to get inside the layer of guards and then sneak around on his own.
[2024/01/10 16:33] Sonja Bikergrrl: They men don't converse with you - or themselves, but it's plain they did not expect company - and the other guy has sunk into a delirium and just hangs limply. It's not too long before you see a flickering glow up ahead - the human part of the cave system
[2024/01/10 16:36] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Flickering from torch flame?
[2024/01/10 16:37] Alicia Frakture: Watches the old injured man noticing the glow as well. "Ohhh is that it?"
[2024/01/10 16:38] Sonja Bikergrrl: Up ahead, you finally get to see what looks like a wall barring further progress. Torches and guards are on the wall; a large gate opens and you can see into the base itself. A few men in studded leather armour wait, as the two men drag the first guy to the gate. One of the guards looks at you two. "What are you doing here?"
[2024/01/10 16:38] Sonja Bikergrrl: And on that, I better call it! I do need sleep
[2024/01/10 16:39] Alicia Frakture: Sleep well and see you tomorrow
[2024/01/10 16:40] Sonja Bikergrrl: I think you're going to like this...
[2024/01/10 16:40] Sonja Bikergrrl: ...just not a lot :)
[2024/01/10 16:40] Alicia Frakture: Could say the same. Already have response planned
[2024/01/10 16:40] Sonja Bikergrrl: oh boy. Then I am eager for tomorrow night :)
